Merry Christmas to my dear friends!

I hope that each of you have a very Merry Christmas and that God pours his rich blessings down on each of you! Let's celebrate the birth of our mighty king. He is the greatest gift I have ever received.

Valerie Salmon asked me to do a page for her sketch blog. She does great sketches that I have watched for some time. Well the page is posted today. Here is the link. http://gotsketch.blogspot.com/ Another great honor for me! I figured it was an appropriate page as there is lots of cooking going on this time of year. I have 2 pumpkin pies in the oven now and am getting ready to make some more pb cookies and cut the fudge I made last night. Yummy! Look out YMCA I am going to need your equipment severely in a couple of days. Here is the page I did.

Enjoy the holidays! Celebrate the Saviors birth! Hope Santa is good to all!!

Lots of goodies

Well I hope all of you are ready for Christmas! Ready to celebrate our Saviors birth!!! Ready for Santa! It still confounds me the amount of love that God had for us that he gave his Son to us! To come in the form of a newborn baby! It leaves me speechless! WOW!!! Thank you Abba!

Well I have a few more things to wrap! It doesn't seem like I have bought much this year but my wallet indicates otherwise! I am really disappointed that I didn't get to go to church this morning. I had to work over this morning. So I am now watching Thomas Road Baptist Church service on TV. Well before I run I want to share with you some projects I have completed and my Christmas cards for this year. My Christmas card I mailed out is now my header. It is a lift from the Luxe Designs blog. Here are my others:

This is the card I made for my dh! Used some BG, American Craft rub-ons, and Bazzill brad.
This is the mini chipboard album I made for Emmas assistant cheerleading coach! Used MM acrylic paint, Dymo label maker, felt cheerleader from AC Moore, CM sticker letters, American Crafts rub-ons, and BG paper.
Just a picture of inside of mini album. Very simple because can't get to dimensional on them or they won't shut. LOL That was hard for me.
And this is the album I made for the head coach. It is a SEI Preservation album. DCWV rub-ons, felt cheerleader from AC Moore, BG patterned paper, Bazzill cardstock, index cards, American Crafts rub-ons.

I just had each of the cheerleaders write a sentiment to the coach for next to their pictures. I had 2 mothers not return my calls because I never got back their index card. So I couldn't finish those 2 pages however after at least 4 attempts it was time to give up! What do you do?!

And this final project is something that was a make and take at one of Shannons crops at the Scrapbook Bungalow. We just made the album with ribbon. I embellished and placed pictures in it of Emmas cheerleading friends and am going to put this in her stocking. Something simple. Used Doodlebug frill, MM sticker letters, and American Crafts ribbon, rub-ons, and patterned paper.

I may get to post a page later on today! More to come soon! Happy Holidays!

Me procrastinate?........never

I finally got my Christmas tree finished today! I made dh put the tree up before he went to a class out of town the first of the month however he didn't put the lights on the tree. I am horrible at putting on lights so I had to wait on that. Well he finished that yesterday. Emma and I loaded the ornaments on it today! Since dh is working today he will have to come fine tune it in the am. He is much better at it than I! Here is a pic of what dd and I did.

I had to add the photo of my star and snowman! I am not sure that is how I am going to use it! I am a "less is more" person but feel like if I have stuff I have to put it out.

Emma was in her Christmas program at church last night. I will post pictures soon! I took those on my smaller camera. She and the children's choir did such a good job. Well I am off to bed. Thanks for reading!

More good news

God continues to pour his rich blessings down on me! I don't deserve them! However Scrapstreet is going to publish one of my cards in thier January issue.

Also I forgot to mention last week that I received the MM 601 Great Scrapbook Ideas book. My first layout published in it on page 148. I can't believe I am published in the same book as some great artists such as Crystal Reiger. I love her stuff!

Well I am working a 24 hour shift today! We had one call. And we were on scene for awhile as a truck went down a 100 foot enbankment and they had to use ropes to get to him and remove him. It was very cold! It was a very well coordinated call! Well I am going to rest before we get the next call. Did anyone watch Greys Anatomy tonight? I love the show but am getting tired of the infidelity on there. Just when I think it is getting better it sparks back up! I really need to tune that show out.

On a different note, I have been nauseated for several days now. Missed work one day from it!! I think it is my nerves but am not sure. I so wish I was pregnant but I don't see that happening.

Have a great week my friends! All my northern friends please blow that snowstorm down here. I really need some good snow pictures.

Some good news!

Please forgive me for not posting this sooner but I have 2 great pieces of news. First I made the Design Team for Faith Based Pages (www.faithbasedpages.com). I am so excited to represent Judy's business using my passion for scrapbooking and my love of the Lord. I can't wait to work with the other ladies on the DT. I get to meet Judy at the ScrapBowl next February! That will be exciting.
Second we got a puppy! Emma has been wanting a puppy for quite a while. The only dog my dh wants is a Rottweiler. So as a compromise I agreed the only way to get a Rottweiler was to get one as a puppy that we could rear ourselves. Well we got him last Sunday and he is now 9 weeks old. He is so handsome. I think Emma picked the biggest puppy in the lot however. His paws are humungous and he is already 16 lbs. Here are some pictures.

His name is Ansel. Which is German for "Gods protection". DH picked that name. When he told me the meaning I knew that was it! Isn't my little man handsome?

I have been working on my Christmas cards and some Christmas presents. I won't share those yet. Also waiting on some parents to call me back to get the cheerleading coaches album. I have called 3 times and no response. That is getting a little frustrating. I don't want to give the coach the album unfinished.
Well I continue to need your prayers on a personal front. Actually for my family and friends! I won't get into details but I have been nauseated for several days now with my nerves. I have prayed over my concerns and actually been reading and studying Psalm 18 today. The Lord pointed out to me vs. 19 "He brought me out into a spacious place; he rescued me because he delighted in me." I know I have said I have given my concerns to the Lord but somehow I still worry! I welcome any suggestions on how to deal with that! Thanks for your feedback! Well I am going to sleep. The puppy slept through the night last night I am hoping tonight brings the same.

Trials and Tribulation

Satan has really been throwing some stuff at me lately. Or I guess I should say God is giving me some experiences to make me stronger. But sometimes I feel so weak! I dare not get into details. I just have been getting on my knees talking to my Abba. Listening to his guidance. Seeking his face. Reading his word. I will get through this and be a stronger person! Thanks for you all being my friends.

Happy Thanksgiving

What a beautiful day the Lord has made! Let us rejoice and be glad in it! To God be the Glory!

I hope all of you dear friends have a wonderful blessed Thanksgiving and remember to Thank him for what he has done for you and through you!

I am thankful for sure!

On one of my message boards I belong too that is a kit club (www.faithbasedpages.com) the owner posed the question for each of us to list 10 things that we are thankful for! Well here is my list!

1. God's Grace! I can not fathom not only my eternal state but my current state of mind had it not been for God's grace! I don't have to live my life greiving decisions I have made punishing myself for my flesh! God put those sins on the cross for me!

2. Family! My beautiful daughter and encouraging husband! To see the look of reliance from my daughter. Her gentle smile! Her kind heart! To know that God put this little child in my hands. My husband loves me despite the fact I don't wait on him hand and foot 24/7. I thrive on being a subservient wife to him but there are some days I am "moody" and I don't. He loves me no matter what!

3. Earthly Home! Gods provision for my safe haven while on Earth! He has provided me with a beautiful home! There were days when I could barely make ends meet not knowing if I would get booted from my apartment. God has brought me far!

4. Bible- his love letter to me! I can seek closeness with him by reading his teachings!

5. Computer- where I can seek respite from stress. I seek time with my online friends! :)

6. Scrapbooking- A hobby the Lord has shown to me where I can imprint memories in a visible format! Where I can share my faith with others!

7. Music- albeit via my Zune, the radio, or CD's. A strong method I use to worship my God. People going down the road next to me probably think I am possessed by something other than the holy spirit!

8. My parents!- They brought me up in a christian home! They made me go to church no matter what. If I decided in my rebellious youth to stay out until early morning I better be prepared to get up for church! Our church I grew up in was my family growing up. My school bus driver was my pastor. The actual congregation was no bigger than 20 some a Sunday! We lived, breathed, and fellowshiped together not just on Sundays!

9. My current church! As mentioned previously I was raised in a small church. The church I go to now has hundreds each Sunday! It was a big adjustment for me to go to a big church and give up that "small" feeling. Well let me tell you I have been at Hyland Heights now for 3 years and it feels as at home as my church of my youth. It is not just my Sunday "act". It is a place I spend a large part of my life growing in my relationship with the Lord, fellowshiping with fellow believers, and hopefully playing an instrumental role in raising up the youth to be beleivers in Christ. My church provided me the opportunity (or shall I say the Lord) to do my first abroad mission trip.

10. Love. It kind of encompasses a lot of the above! It is the foundation of all things! God is Love!

Well my family is celebrating Thanksgiving today as my dh and I work tomorrow all day and Emma goes to her fathers. So I am going to cut this short and enjoy my things I am thankful for! God bless you all!

Brookville Comets are back

and better than before! I wish you could have seen me today! I had a cowbell in one hand and a air horn in the other! My daughter and her team in the Mites age division (7-8 year olds) rocked the house! Most of Emmas friends and classmates cheer for another team and Emma does get some slack from that. But not today! Emma was a real sportsman! I am so proud of her and her team. I am working on a 6 by 6 album right now for her coach. I am using Obscure by BG. :) I want to give it to Coach Vickie tomorrow but we shall see because I am also trying to make 2 two inch chipboard albums for her assistant coaches. Here are some pictures from today!

EMS Symposium

We made it to Norfolk today for the EMS Symposium. I am teaching tomorrow at 1pm on "Adventures in Airways". I have been doing EMS for over 15 years. This event used to be overly exciting for me. Not so much now! But I enjoy the opportunity to teach others. The place we are staying is gorgeous. Here is the view from our room.

It is beautiful. You can see the Spirit of Norfolk which is a dinner cruise. I am trying to talk dh into it before we leave! Well I can't wait to come home! I am going to work on my lecture some more!

A rough week

Sometimes I wonder "what gives?!" I know I put myself in these situations. I have a hard time saying no. But I have some issues going on at work that I need prayer for. Had a couple of rough flights last week. As a matter of fact these flights were on Halloween. I was scheduled to get off at 7pm. That way I could meet the ex to get Emma and take her trick or treating. Well she came by work and I was doing her hair and makeup when our emergency phone rang. That was a little after 4pm. I ended up getting 2 calls back to back and didn't get home until 11:30pm. I missed my babies Halloween for the first time! I felt so small! And the calls were so mentally and physically exhausting as well. Emma was an Asian Princess. I was telling some she was a Geisha however I did not know the full definition of a Geisha. I thought it was just an Asian lady. NOT! Well I did take a picture of her in her costume for a friend when it came in so I have that picture. Hopefully her father got some good pictures as we sprayed her hair black and put on the makeup. Now her face is broken out some from that. But I know she was beautiful and she is very courageous when it comes to those "scary" houses. She leaves the high schoolers on the sidewalk and walks on up to them like it isn't anything. She doesn't get that bravery from me. LOL Here is the picture of her costume. If I get one of the whole get up I will share.

The rain has come

It has been raining here for 3 days now. We were so in need. Emma started singing on the way to school yesterday "Rain, Rain go away!". I had to tell her we needed the rain so badly. All she knew was that playtime was going to be inside now. :( Poor thing! Cheerleading was canceled last night. It was good to have a reprieve. 3 evenings a week is a little much.

She has decided that she wants to play basketball this fall. So I am going to look into that.

Well I am back on track with my eating this week. Only 1 and a half weeks left in the competition. Overall I am pleased. I had a couple of weeks of bad eating habits. Here is a page I completed with the new Scenic Route Salem. All I can say is YUMMY! Scenic Route is so delish! These are some pictures from last years Halloween. The first picture is my neice and dd, second picture is Emma (dd), third picture is my neighbor and her beautiful daughter, and last is a picture of Emma walking with family down street trick or treating. I also used some SR chipboard and Hambly Screeen Prints rub-ons. I used Colorbox chalks to color the chipboard letters. Thanks for looking!

Fall is so busy

I hope this finds all doing well. I did get a couple of pages finished this past weekend. As soon as I find my camera (yes I have misplaced it) and charge the battery in it I will shoot some pictures. I lost one pound this past week. Only 2 weeks left in the competition. Ever since my birthday I haven't made the best eating choices. So I need to buckle back down. Well I teach the next two days. So I will catch up on here with my pages in a day or two!

Croptoberfest

Hello my friends. Just a reminder that this weekend on www.thescrapbooksite.com there is going to be a crop. There will be lots of challenges, games, chatting. Those ladies are a blast so please drop in!

A couple of my recent pages

I have been asked to be a Designer Diva for http://www.mysketchworld.blogspot.com which is Lucy Chesna's sketch website. This page is my take on this current sketch. The photo is a close up shot of a hyacinth that my dh got me for Easter 2006.

This 2 page layout is of various photos of my dd Emma in her first year of life!
And lastly this is a picture of my dh blowing the many candles out on his cake. Notice the smoky picture. LOL Good thing he is a fireman! Didn't I do a good job on his cake?

Thanks for looking at my creations!

Just a day at work

Well I hope this finds all well! I am working a 24 hour shift today! Spent the morning looking at the CK Hall of Fame magazine. And I am a big CK fan but I am not blown away from the pages in the magazine. There were only like 3 or 4 that stood out to me. For those to be chosen the scrapbookers of the year makes me wonder. That get so many entries I find it hard to believ that those are the best. And some of the digital stuff just doesn't look like sbing to me. I guess the good thing is everyone has their own sense of design and style. That is what makes it their scrapbook page. If we all scrapped the same we would be a boring lot. I do really like Kristina Contes work. She is getting so much flack right now. I have mixed feelings about that. Her pages are beautiful. Definitely my favorite in the HOF magazine so I will leave that at that. I just wish people would settle down. I can't wait to go to ScrapBowl where she will be teaching. Her work resembles Ali Edwards so much and you know I love me some Ali! On a different note, I am so proud of Jennifer Armentrout, one of my fellow design team members from www.thescrapbookbungalow.com for getting CK HOF Honorable Mention. That is quite a feat. Way to go Jennifer! You so deserve it!
I went to a crop all day yesterday. I got a lot of pages done. Shannon at the "bungalow" puts on a good crop. Big tables to scrap on, wonderful friends to scrap with, products to purchase (because you all know I am getting low on paper), and goodies to snack on. She even provided a meal and it was delicious just like last months. I purchased some of the new Scenic Route Salem line from her. I have started a 2 page layout with it from last years Halloween pictures. I need to title and embellish it. But I am thinking Scenic Route is by far my favorite paper. Not to mention chipboard, rub-ons, etc. I finished 11 cards for a swap I am doing and if I remember correctly three 2 page layouts. I will post them in the next few days. Have a blessed Sunday!

Trying to keep the blog stimulated!

I so want to be better about this blog posting thing. I have really enjoyed reading other peoples blogs recently. There are so many talented artists who can combine home, work, and art so wonderfully. I envy you. Well I am at work right now. We have been busy rearranging and organizing this place.

I got my knee x-ray results back today. After 2 phone calls................. It is negative. I am glad they didn't find anything but that doesn't denounce that my knee doesn't hurt. The Prednisone isn't doing anything but what else can I do. Ice and Motrin continues at this point with no running. :( I really miss the running! I was down to 166 lbs on the scale this morning. I hope this Prednisone doesn't mess that up too bad. Well I am off to bed. I hope to either do some scrapping tomorrow or get ready for the all day crop at http://www.scrapbookbungalow.com/ Saturday. This is the second one and it is was a blast last month. Can't wait to do it again.

Oh here is a mini album I have been working on. I have a couple more pages to do on the inside. It is all Basic Grey supplies with the exception of the ribbon on the bind and the album itself is Stamp It! This album is a result of a challenge Rachel on the http://www.thescrapbooksite.com/ gave us earlier this year to take a photo every day for a month and scrap it. I did the month of April. I think it turned out ok. I will post more pictures and better pictures of it when I finish all the pages ok? Thanks for looking!

Week 4 of my weight loss competition

Well I would be crazy to say it didn't bother me but this week I lost "0" pounds. So much for the birthday excuse. I made poor eating decisions all weekend. So it is back to the drawing board today! I had to go to my doctor today about my knee. I am having a hard time with it. I can't even run right now due to the pain. I have to have an x-ray in the morning so we shall see what that shows. I did walk 3 miles today but I am paying for it tonight.

Well I have been asked to be a designer for a sketch website. I will post more about that later. It is such an honor. Here is a page I did at the crop Friday night.

Shannon from the Bungalow gave me the sketch and the materials came from a kit from http://www.thescrapbooksite.com/. With the exception of the American Craft vinyl Thickers and the Fancy Pants chipboard flourishes. The picture is of my dd posing at Granny Elsies on Easter. Can you tell she is used to posing for me? A little prissy perhaps. Well if that isn't proof enough check out this photo!

This was at cheerleading practice one evening. We were taking pictures for our t-shirts to wear at competition. Isn't she something?! Well I better call it a day! The morning comes so quickly.

It's my birthday!

And boy do I feel it! I have hurt my knee working out and it is giving me grief. My husband is working today and Emma is spending the night with grandparents. So I went to a Creative Memories Fall Gathering crop tonight. Boy has Creative Memories really getting some cool stuff. They are trying to catch up to the industry. I mean the paper is gorgeous. A gorgeous paisley punch. You know I love me some paisley. I got 3 of the new packs of Basic Grey today. All I can say is............................................... YUMMY! I can't wait to cut into that good stuff. Them and Scenic Route are so incredible. Well I am having a yard sale this weekend at my aunts. I have so much stuff from moving. I did not eat good today on new regime. Got a pizza with Angie at the crop. And ate another piece when I got home a little while ago. And I had my first soda in over a month. So I got to get it together tomorrow. Very disappointed in myself but I will use my birthday as an excuse. Does that cut it?
I did get one 12 by 12 page done tonight from a sketch that Shannon at the Bungalow emailed me and a kit from www.thescrapbooksite.com. I will post pictures in a few days. Well I need to get some rest. Thanks for sharing in my life! :)

Playing catch up

Although that seems to be the story of my life lately. Trying to keep up with my healthy eating habits... and it isn't easy. I really want a DQ Blizzard right now. LOL And I am really enjoying my work outs but it does take a chunk of time out of the day! My muscles are sore today as I increased my weight quite a bit especially on my legs. Last week, for Week 2 of the competition, I got first place in points. They gave me a Starbucks gift card and some other goodies. That was so very nice of them!
Well I have been bad shopping lately. Ordered the Barnyard kit from www.thescrapbooksite.com. It is the first kit I have ordered from them in awhile. I also ordered a second kit from www.zanyzinnia.com. It is a Halloween kit and they usually don't do anything for me but this one looks especially cute. I am looking forward to cropping this weekend. I turn 35 years old Friday and my and my friend Angie are going to a crop at our church actually. My dh is working and it is a gift to me. So I hope to have more goodies to post soon! Emma is over her chickenpox. She actually only missed 2 days of school. So the vaccination did reduce the severity of it.
I have a prayer request. A lady who was a Creative Memories Consultant back when I was one die today of Leukemia. She was a young lady with a dear husband and young family. It is so hard to see ones die so young. She was full of zest and really worked her CM business. Much more than I ever dreamed of. Pray for her family in this time of their loss.
Any watchers of the Grays Anatomy or Dancing with the Stars? As a matter of fact Dancing with the Stars is getting ready to come on. I was a tad disappointed in Grays last week. The whole Izzy and George adultery thing really bothers me. But at this point I will continue to watch it. Other than Survivor no other shows I am dying to watch. Oh I forgot one.............Project Runway in November. Love that show! Well I hope you all have a blessed week. I go weigh in in the morning for Week 3. I hope I had a good week. God Bless you all my dear friends.

Chickenpox in our house

We got home from church Wednesday evening and I noticed these bumps on the back of Emmas legs. I thought it was mosquito bites as they seem to know how sweet she is. However they kept popping up in front of my eyes so I inquired further. Turns out she had these bumps all over her. The next day one had blistered. I was 99% sure it was chickenpox. Her pediatrician confirmed it. So we have been home with Benadryl and Oatmeal lotion. She had the vaccine as a baby so it isn't as virulant a case but a case nonetheless. I had to miss one day of work but I have gotten some cleaning done. Please pray for her to heal and not to miss any more school. She missed her cheerleading homecoming today and soccer and has lots of school work to catch up on.

Pound by Pound

Well I am on my second week of the weight loss competition. I lost 3.5 pounds last week. I have been doing the treadmill or walking an hour each day and doing the circuit training at least 3 times a week. Someone lost 11 lbs last week in the competition. That is incredible. I did get tied for 4th place with weight loss and got 5th place for amount of steps for last week. I have so far to go. I just hope I can keep it up. And the eating is the hardest part.

Well I am off to take a nice hot bath. Here is a layout I completed at the crop Saturday from a sketch I made.

This is using the new Scenic Route patterned papers, diecuts, and chipboard. I also used Bazzill cardstock, American Crafts chipboard letters, and Creative Imaginations rub on letters.

Working and Scrappin'

Well I went to a crop yesterday that my LSS had. It was awesome. I worked on a mini album for the picture a day challenge I had on http://www.thescrapbooksite.com/. And I did one 12 by 12 layout from a sketch challenge I posted on my LSS yahoo group. http://www.scrapbookbungalow.com/ However it is too late for me to get pictures. I tried but they turned out blurry. I work tomorrow and Tuesday so will try to get to you later on this week. It feels so good to get pages done. My friend Angie went with me yesterday. She got some pages done as well.

Here is a picture from the crop I went to last weekend. It was a Cricut Swarm. I have not myself gotten bitten by the bug yet. :)

I am on the front right in the bright yellow shirt.

Went to a crop Saturday

I only got to be there for 4 hours but I completed 5 pages. I am pleased. I also started a weight loss competition today! I am very nervous about this. Or should I say nervous about not doing good at this. I really want to lose weight but it isn't easy. Please pray for me as I enter this journey. Here are some of my pages I completed.

This is Foof-a-la patterned paper and rub-ons, bazzill chipboard letters, and Kraft cardstock all from http://www.scrapbookbungalow.com and my CM journaling pen.

I took this picture last year. I used Tinkering Ink patterned paper and diecut, Stampin Up pen, Making Memories metal signage, and Bazzill cardstock.
This is a picture of a bird on the roof of our old house. I enlarged it to 8 by 10 then exacted it's silhouette out. I used Scenic Route patterned paper and chipboard letters, Queen and Company plastic embellishment and chipboard letters, and #7 punch to make the chipboard circles into musical notes, stapler, and black ribbon unknown.

This is Emmas cheerleading picture from last year. I use Doodlebug cardstock, sticker letters, and patterned paper; Pressed Petals chipboard letter; and Creative Imaginations patterned paper. Everything but the chipboard letter came from a kit from http://www.thescrapbooksite.com a couple of months ago. I chalked the flowers on the one sheet of patterned paper and took Doodlebug bling and put in the centers of the flowers. Then I hand journaled with my CM pen the "you make me".

Thanks for looking!

Back to School

School started Monday for Emma. Her going to second grade hit me harder than her attending the first grade. Something about her going from the big green landscape oriented wide lined paper to regular paper has hit me hard. Isn't that crazy? Well she has really liked her teacher and school thus far. She is one of four girls in her class with 13 boys. She isn't too crazy about that! Here are some pictures of my sunshine:

Now as far as my crafting goes. I have several started projects: 2 mini albums, 1 altered item, and 3 pages that I need to finish. I have a hard time scrapping at home because of my small scrap table and my accumulation of supplies and messiness. It is stifling me. I have signed up for a few crops so hope to get some stuff done. We shall see! Say a little prayer for me!

Summer is winding down

I can't believe it. Emma will be back at school in 2 more weeks. I am going to miss my baby so much. I feel like I have neglected her this summer with going to Brazil and working 3 jobs this summer. She is back at cheer leading for the Comets. Today was the second week of practice. Her cartwheels are getting better and better. Vacation was lovely. We had one day of rain at the beach. Good day to dig into my Harry Potter book. Searched the outlets there and got Emma some good deals on back to school clothes. All the supplies are purchased. I have 2 pages I am almost done scrapping. I hope to post those in a day or two and a mini album that I am working on. Feels good to be cutting paper.

Exasperated

I need about 7 more hours in my day! There just isn't enough time for me to do all that I want and need to do. Or better yet I need to learn how to say NO! I worked in the ER today for the first time in over a year. And now I am back at work. My allergies have been in full throttle this week. Seems we have mold in the hangar. I have been hacking and sniffling nonstop this weekend. No appetite at all for the past few days and just feeling blah! I have ordered my new Harry Potter book. I was thinking I would get it yesterday but didn't. I am also in the middle of the Yada Yada prayer group books. I am getting excited about vacation. My family really needs some special time together. I think I have seen my husband all of 10 hours maybe this week. Nobodies fault but my own. Well I washed my cell phone this morning. Guess where I am going in the morning? Alltel! Nice! I am not looking forward to dealing with them at all! Well I leave you with the photo of what I have inhaled. It is the petri dish of mold we grew in the hangar here. I would venture to say it is positive. It has about grown the lid off of the dish. So I leave you with that as I go hack some more.

Scrapper Girl is back in da house!

I don't know what happened but my creative juices are starting to flow again. I finished 2 pages I started last night. The first one was a challenge for my LSS using a kit provided by Shannon.

This second page is of my sweet friends daughter Taylor. She is so beautiful. Like her mama! I used the June kit from Faith Based Pages. Just added some chipboard letters. This also was a scraplift from a challenge at The Scrapbook Site.
Thanks for looking.

On a roll!

Well it is definitely back to work for me. No days off this week. Trying to save up money to reduce credit card debt and have money for beach. I am working today a 24 hour shift. I just completed a mini album for my ex-mother-in-law. It was something simple I wanted to do for her.
I am really enjoying my part time job. The foster mother is so genuine and frank which I admire. The boy has really touched my heart.
We have been finally putting pictures up on the wall and dh even bought a sofa table to put in our foyer. It only took a year but we are getting lots done. I don't know what it is. I surely ain't nesting but I have been so productive lately. Getting Emmas clothes organized and removing stuff that is too small or no longer being used. Cleaning the clutter in my bedroom. I have had a hard time getting back in a scrapping mood since my return. I just don't want to take anything for granted anymore. Well thanks for listening. Have a blessed week.

Happy Fourth of July

Well I made it home Sunday morning at 6 am. About half of our group became ill with flu like symptoms. I have only incurred allergies. Due to there being no air conditioner I slept with my windows open and the fan blowing. Spiritual warfare was strong there. Satan knew what our intent was and he tried to place obstacles in our path. But God reigned supreme. He had bigger plans. This 4th seems surreal after being in Brazil. The liberties we have we take for granted. Our country is such a rich country compared to so many others. Seeing those kids living in the conditions they are in with diseases, lack of running water, no electricity, and running the streets begging for money to eat their next meal makes me so grateful for what I have. I wanted to bring those kids home with me. Didn't think that would work with Customs? LOL I can't wait to see those people again. I tell ya I luv them. That was an experience I won't soon forget. Hard to think about scrappin after doing that. And you know it takes alot to make me forget about scrapping. I hope you enjoy the photos. I took almost 300 photos.

Here in Jeremaobo

Well I am so sorry I haven~t shared before now about this journey. We have been going nonstop and I have long lost count of the number of souls we have brought to the Lord. This is an experience I will never forget. I am so humbled. And I love these people. I hope this is something I will get to experience more than once. I have so much to share and should have blogged everyday but I have been tired. The Lord gives me strength so I can share the gospel. I have made new friends, started learning a new language, and grown in my own spiritual walk. This trip wasn~t just about bringing new believers to the gospel but it was for our team. God did mighty things through us and to us. Things ranging from bringing over 100 people to the Lord at an agriculture school of teenagers tonight to strengthening our team as we were stuck on the side of a sand road stuck in a bus up to its frame for over 4 hours. You should have heard the praising in the storm. To God be the glory. Well my pillow is beckoning me. I doƱ~t look forward to telling all the children tomorrow in Jeremaobo bye. Please continue to pray for our team as we continue to witness and begin our travels home.

She did it finally!

Well yesterday my baby rode that bike with no training wheels. I am one proud mama. See video below. My friends on www.thescrapbooksite.com recommended taking the training wheels off and having her scoot along until she gets going then start pedaling. Well it worked really quick. I mean once she got it she took off. Emma had a couple of friends over today. They made shirt shaped Fathers Day cards. Really cute. Well I have so much to do to get ready for Friday.

Time is drawing closer

I can't beleive it. I just looked at my ticker and it is 10 days until departure for Brazil. I am so excited to see what the Lord will do through me. He is so good. I am trying to prepare my heart for what he has in store for me and for them.
Been working again this past weekend. I wish I had some way to iterate to everyone the importance of wearing their seatbelts. We have lost so many lives needlessly this past few weekends where a seatbelt could have made the difference. What does it take for people to realize the fragility of life?
I made some baby cards yesterday. I will take some up to the Bungalow tomorrow to sell. I think they turned out real cute. Enjoy!

A crazy week

Well it has been a crazy week. I started a part time job this past week. I am not sure if I will keep at it. Emma gets out of school next week. We decided not to do summer camp. She will stay with her cousin some and my dad if needed. Not much scrapping lately other than the notepads I made for Emmas sunday school teachers 2 weeks ago. Trying to get together things I need for Brazil. Got me some luggage and a backpack. Now our group needs Polaroid One Step film and reading glasses. For Memorial Day we went to the D Day memorial. What an experience. The sacrifices they made for our countries freedoms. I got some great photographs.
